Protest Dance and the Picket Line: Striking as site-adaptive choreography

I have been covering the United Grinnell Student Dining Workers union on behalf of the Scarlet and Black newspaper for months now (with my friend and colleague Chloe Wray). I wrote this final paper to assert a different theoretical framework (dance theory) into the now national discourse on this topic. I also wrote this paper to claim a part of the time I have spent researching and writing about UGSDW as my own — to insert my voice as a dancer and a feminist into a discourse that has been largely male-dominated, and to foreground dance theory in this intellectual space.
